Tony Pulis grounded after three straight victories

Manager Tony Pulis warned his Stoke City squad not to get too carried away by a run of three consecutive Premier League victories.

A 3-0 win at West Bromwich Albion built on previous successes at home to Birmingham City and Liverpool, but Pulis is wary of believing that his side have banished a slow start to the campaign altogether.

He told the club's official website:"Sometimes we've played better away from home and not had the good fortune, so we're very pleased to pick all three points up.

"We showed good character. It's the first time we've won three games on the bounce in the Premier League, so it's very good for us.

"It's the first time for 26 years this Club has won three successive games at this level which is a fantastic achievement.

"It's been a season of ups and downs so far because we started with three defeats, then had a good run in September and more recently these three successive wins have come off the back of a sequence four defeats.

"We were in the bottom three just a couple of games ago, so the most important thing is to get the lads prepared for Manchester City next Saturday.

"The win is great and I'm sure they will enjoy themselves, but we have to prepare for City starting on Monday morning."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
